This year's Pride Honors Honorees will be announced live at Stockton Pride 2017. If you think someone from San Joaquin County deserves recognition for a lifetime of work supporting our local LGBT+ community or someone's community service or education went above and beyond in 2016, then nominate them for the Pride Honors Award.

Our 2017 Pride Honor Recipients

Legacy Award- Miss Monique
As the founder of the very first LGBT+ organization in San Joaquin County, our LGBT+ movement starts with her. Miss. Monique has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. She was a big presence during the AIDS crisis, shifting the focus of the organization she had founded to raise money to help those affected. Our community is indebted to her service.

Education Champion- Lange Luntao
The first gay male to be elected to public office in San Joaquin County, Lange in a very short time has proven his stripes when it comes to supporting LGBT+ students at Stockton Unified School District. Leading the charge on making SUSD a sanctuary city and championing ethnic studies, Lange understands the importance of intersectionality and its impact on our LGBT+ youth. He is continually finding ways that SUSD can innovate their support of our LGBT+ youth and he's always looking for ways to have the district collaborate with our Pride Center.

Pacific Urgent Care- Christopher Morales
Pacific Urgent Care gets it! Equality means treating the transgender community with the same level of respect and care that that their other patience's receive. With the majority of health care providers still hesitant to provide hormone therapy services, Pacific Urgent Care carries its rainbow credentials with pride. From the receptionist to the nurses up to the doctors, the respect of LGBT+ culture is a model for the entire San Joaquin County health care industry.

Legacy (Lifetime) Award-Given to an individual, couple or organization for LGBT advocacy that has spanned generations and is a model of leadership for future generations to come.

The following awards are given for advocacy during the year following the previous Pride Honors.
